We live in Lakeville, Mn and decided to spend my birthday in Grand Marais. We stopped at Poplar Haus and let me say it has the best decor, warming, welcoming, excellent food. It has a Minneapolis feel in the north woods. Such an amazing place. Food is spectacular, pool table, games, we played Candy Land, they have merchandise to take home. Such a friendly welcome, service is spectacular, and you honestly don’t want to leave. We are looking forward to another trip to stay in the cabins and enjoy up north life. I’d recommend to everyone this is a place to make a stop. They also have gluten free buns and options for gluten free. The food is amazing.
