Please review your options for gluten free diners! After many years of wanting to visit, I called to ask about gluten free options for brunch and was told (by a coeliac member of staff no less!) that most of the options were very "bready" and they didn't even offer gluten free bread! I said they could just buy some in from a supermarket and he answered that they'd have to throw it away due to lack of demand. I suggested they could freeze it and use as needed but he said they wouldn't do that! I'm so disappointed and won't be visiting. This is not a review to cause trouble, this is an appeal to reconsider how you might welcome the HUGE (and growing) number of people who can't eat gluten. When so many small independents and large chains are managing to do it and doing it well, this is incredibly frustrating from a such a reputable and well-established eaterie. Please do better.

Beautiful scallops, followed by skate. As a gluten and dairy free diner, had a good choice of mains. Generous portions, so no room for desserts. Quiet Monday night, efficient service. Really nice food, in a casual environment. Seem to be striving for casual perfection, which largely they are achieving, however, glasses and napkins a little too basic, and detract a little from the overall experience somewhat.
