best gluten free chicken parm ever!!!!! sooo accommodating for gluten free.

My husband and I love a good steak house, but I had become allergic to wheat, so finding an enjoyable dining experience that lives up to memories of days when I could eat anything I liked is a “holy grail endeavor”. Post 1917 has met that challenge and surpassed every expectation. The tuna tartare was a stack of luscious tuna, avocado and mango with slivered radish in a light miso reduction – with gluten-free crostini! It was delicious! The blue cheese lettuce wedge was a step up on the basic boring wedge salad, using bibb lettuce (instead of iceberg) with slivered red onion, a thick slice of bacon, and herb marinated cherry tomatoes under a light blue cheese vinaigrette (instead of heavy dressing). Superb! The wet-aged bone-in NY Strip 20 oz steak was seasoned and cooked to a perfect temp throughout. We opted for the Oscar enhancement – a delight of balanced bearnaise sauce with an abundance of lump crab meat. Enough Oscar for every bite of steak! All on top of roasted asparagus spears. Yum! We opted for the mashed potatoes side which was creamy and perfect – no added garlic, thank goodness, to interfere with the flavors of our main. Finally, dessert was a gluten-free tiramisu – Can You Believe It?!? I haven’t had tiramisu in all the years since my allergy was diagnosed! Amazing cappuccino completed the meal. With an excellent cocktail and wine list – we cannot wait to return for another amazing meal. And the prices were absolutely reasonable for the quality and quantity. Let us not forget to mention the staff – they were supportive of each other and each table, discrete and prompt. Our main waitperson, Sebastian, gave us excellent suggestions and took care to assure our evening was as special as it could be. We highly recommend Post 1917!
