Great little cafe on the outskirts of Hanmer township. Good range of food options for both breakfast and dinner. Coffee was good, not great, but the best we've found in Hanmer. Excellent range of Gluten Free cabinet & menu options. We were there for breakfast and would recommend.

I'm from Christchurch and I've been to many cafes for breakfast. Powerhouse has been the best breakfast I've had for a long time. They cater really well for gluten free patrons. I went twice in the weekend. Their pancakes were gluten free and soooo delicious. You can't often get GF pancakes and these we fluffy and tasty. Their egg dishes all come with the best potatoe cakes. Well done guys!
