We were delighted to discover Prego restaurant a wet afternoon in Stockbridge. We were first aware of the restaurant from the delicious aromas wafting out from the small but perfectly formed kitchen in the front of the restaurant. As a group of 4, we were lucky enough to get a table. Mandy explained the dishes on the menu to us, and her passion for the authentic, top-quality ingredients was obvious. Dave set to work preparing our meals, including one gluten-free pasta dish. Meanwhile, Mandy had introduced us to the very smooth and fruity red wine that Prego import by the barrel from Italy - delicious!
All of the dishes were beautifully presented, and we all agreed that the flavours were amazing. We also loved the homemade gelato and cannoli - especially the 40th wedding anniversary "special arrangement"!
It was a real delight to eat here - the food and atmosphere were excellent - Dave and Mandy are lovely people who made us feel very welcome.
