Proof Kitchen + Lounge

OUR DRINKS AND FISH N CHIPS WERE DELICIOUS! BOTH THE GLUTEN-FREE & STANDARD PORTIONS WERE HUGE!! We ordered our drinks just before 5 and were thrilled to be extended the Happy Hour discount from the bar! THE STAFF WERE DELIGHTFUL, EFFICIENT AND MADE OUR EXPERIENCE LOVELY. We waited a little long to be noticed and seated when the place was quiet inside. Actually had to step in to get someone's attention. High top table chairs are near impossible to pull yourself into the table with and our table was so wobbly we had to ask for it to be adjusted. Having to leave the restaurant to get to the bathroom to wash your hands etc before/during your dining experience is a little frustrating and odd to return back to your seat through the entrance past folks waiting to be seated.

I recently hosted an engagement party for 30 guests at Proof and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The Event Manager was exceptional—everything we had discussed in advance was prepared and ready upon my arrival. The food was a standout, with a wide variety of options, including vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. I would not hesitate to host another small gathering at Proof.

My family and I have been going to Proof for many years. Always exceptional food, great gluten free options and good atmosphere. What really makes Proof stand out is their staff. We have gone multiple times and had great conversation and service. Recently we went for dinner and had an amazing waitress Sophie, one of the best we’ve ever had at any restaurant. Checked in many times without it becoming over kill, always ready with the refills on water and stayed for conversation, even with my mother who is known to drag on. Will hopefully see her again on our next visit!
