Fabulous food and our server, Jules, was wonderful! Took care of everything needed and did a great job with gluten free. We will for sure be back - thank you, Jules!

I typically don’t leave reviews but I want to make sure other people are aware of the changes this restaurant has made. I am celiac (gluten allergy) and this spot used to be my haven. I came for every special occasion, casual night and everything in between. I went recently and I was so taken aback by the changes. 1. The whole menu changed. The food is very subpar now and double the price. I used to get a few tacos and leave so satisfied, now the only tacos you can get are “for the table” for $80 or $150. Aren’t tacos supposed to be an affordable food? They are so small. It is not often you got to a restaurant with a big group and want the same option for dinner. If it is just two or 3 people splitting that is an insane price for tacos. It’s not accessible in this economy. 2. With the menu change, the food is not nearly as good. I got a taco salad which was as almost $30 and it was very average. The churros were half the size. The restaurant was significantly less crowded. I assume other people are feeling the same. Needless to say, this will not be my go to spot anymore. We were so disappointed by the menu options that we actually looked up other places to eat while we were sitting there. We ended up giving the new menu a try and regretted the amount of money we spent for the level of quality.

The food and drinks we had were great (particularly the gluten free churros!) but I’m disappointed about two changes since my last visit - you can no longer order single tacos, which is a bummer if you’re not there with a large group. Also, I’m gluten intolerant and was so excited to have an empanada as I did at my last two visits. However, they no longer make gluten free empanadas but instead substitute it with a crispy taquito-like dish which definitely isn’t the same. I feel a bit let down and not as inclined to choose Puerta in the future.
