I had a joint 21st/18th birthday party at the Pug and Pudding at the weekend. Was full with my family, and the atmosphere inside was wonderful with the layout and the addition of birthday signs. The the staff were so accommodating and lovely to everyone. The staff worked so hard to serve drinks all night long and were very attentive. The chefs created a large buffet of a wonderful range of food (pictured) which was complimented by everyone throughout the night. They even catered for dietary requirements, with separate table for vegan food, with no nuts and also served a special plate of food for a guest who is coeliac and felt very included. A brownie stack was created by Donna as a birthday ‘cake’ which was devoured and enjoyed by everyone there. I want to say a huge thank you to the staff at the pug and pudding for catering, serving and welcoming that many guests and making it such a special night for me, my sister and our guests. Make sure to book in to eat or book out for events like this, unforgettable night.

People with Coeliac disease please avoid this place. There are no GF cake options, not one! In this day and age this is not good enough! Tried to discuss with owner but he had various excuses as to why he couldn't even buy anything in to offer customers. Avoid, not inclusive! In response to the comments left by pug and pudding: we cannot visit as my daughter would want cake and she has Coeliac disease. It would be unfair to bring her to a place where you have so many cakes and she cannot have any. Even though you can easily buy cakes to freeze. You informed me your niece has Coeliac and yet you do not accommodate Coeliac people in this way. Very perplexing! Every local cafe in the High Peak has a Coeliac option for cake on their menu! 🤔 Also, I have visited your cafe 12 months and spoke to member of your staff then about it then and still no change. I will continue to advise people in the Coeliac community to avoid your cafe! There are plenty of other friendlier and more inclusive cafes in the high peak!
