Pulse definitely got the veggie part of my heart beating. I'm no expert on vegan and gluten free offerings in the city, but this was tasty. Stopped by for lunch and got:
- Fried Cauliflower: My favourite dish of the meal. Cauliflower was fried well (wasn't bitter) and could taste the hints of gochujang. The dousing of honey complemented it well.
- White Bean and Roasted Garlic Dip: Smooth and creamy. Would have liked a bit more garlic but tasty nonetheless. Good portion size.
- Apple Lentil Salad: Lentil popped off the plate with a fresh and light taste. It kinda overpowered the rest of the ingredients so you'll like this dish if you love lentil.
- Smashed Potatoes: Not sure why the garlic and spices made this dish taste a bit too salty for me. My friend loved the seasoning though and liked how it was crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside.
- Dessert Special: It was a zucchini lemon loaf. A tad on the dry side but good lemon taste.
Space is small but bright and laid out well. Service was friendly and kitchen was quick. Prices were reasonable-ish for this cuisine. Overall, can see why Pulse gets many a healthy heart racing
