Pumpers

Been wandering San Antonio like a gluten-free nomad and finally found salvation in the form of Pumpers. That #2 combo? Smacked harder than childhood trauma. The meat was juicy, the bun held together like it had trust issues, and the toppings were basically a flavor orgy in my mouth. Fries came overloaded, as advertised. One bite and I felt like I got punched by a flavor clown. The “magic assholes” (aka sweet jalapeños) were… an experience. Somewhere between spicy and emotional damage. I be back

I came here specifically because they offer a gluten-free option, but unfortunately, they were out of the gluten-free bun. I substituted with a lettuce wrap, but I still ended up being charged the $2.50 upcharge for the bun, even though the lettuce wrap doesn’t normally cost extra. I wasn’t offered any compensation for the difference. The food itself was decent, so I might give it another try if I’m downtown, but I left feeling a little disappointed this time.
