Quality Hotel Maritim

Visited the hotel on Sunday 12/1 for dinner. The hotel has a job to do both with regard to offering allergy food and training personnel. When asked if anything contained gluten, one of the staff thought it was lactose. When asked for clarification, she replied again that "the pasta dishes are gluten-free", which of course they are not. And the hot patties were gluten-free as usual, but the problem there was that the hamburger bun was lying on top and was melting into the patties. There was a separate section with allergy food, including gluten-free breakfast cereal, which is all well and good. But the selection in the dinner section was very limited and the staff had little knowledge. It doesn't take much to make this better. For example, the iron was on display in the allergy department, but no waffle batter was offered, while regular waffles were served. This is the second time we have experienced this here, and we will try a different place next time.

Pleasant town, pleasant service at the hotel. Good food, options for gluten allergy sufferers. Good beds.
