Queens Park Cafe & Kiosk

Food was okay but over-priced. I was told a toastie would be $4 extra if gluten-free which is too much. Very old cash register system meant it takes forever to ring up the order. Staff were definitely best feature. Very friendly and turnaround from order to table was fast. Management need to invest in an updated cash register system for the staff!

I live in Brisbane and haven't been to Queens Park for a while. On Friday I met some friends for morning tea. Things seem to have changed there. The cakes are fancier and expensive, not much gluten free. One friend had gluten free toast and marmalade because the choice for her wasn't great. My other friend and myself had a muffin each. One was the wrong one and had to be taken back. Coffee was good though. We talked for so long that we ended up staying for lunch. Big mistake!! Steak sandwich looked good but steak was tough . Toasted sandwiches are premade ready to be toasted. Chicken and avocado was mush and the avo was brown. What is happening with Queens Park cafe? I've had chicken toasties before and they were lovely and well presented on the plate. Might be a long time before we go back. It is a lovely place to meet friends and family, just a shame about the change.

I had a great experience at this cafe, all thanks to Kylie! As a celiac, dining out can often be a nerve-wracking experience. However, Kylie went above and beyond to ensure that my meal was prepared separately with utmost care. She was very on to it and made me feel safe eating here. Thank you Kylie!
