I've been to Ra a couple times because they have birthday and half birthday promotions that my husband is signed up for.
As someone with Celiac disease, this is one of the few places that I can eat some sushi, as sushi rice generally contains gluten.
You must ask for a separate gluten-free menu. It is an allergen menu, so you must pay close attention to the allergen key to make sure that you can order it. It's a limited menu but it is something.
On my last visit a week or two ago, I ordered the yellowtail nigiri ($8.40) and the 16 oz spicy chicken fried rice, both gluten-free.
For some reason my friend rice had no vegetables in it. Just gluten-free soy sauce, rice and diced chicken. When I asked my server about it, she said there was supposed to be vegetables in it so they remade it. It came out with only shredded carrot added. I wasn't going to ask for it to be remade again, but I wouldn't pay nearly $18 for rice and diced chicken again.
The place is always empty when we visit, but it is open until midnight which might be why it's never busy when we're there.
If you need some gluten-free nigiri and you're on the Strip, this may be your only option.
