Labeled menu(!!), gluten and several other allergens. Large menu with lots of options. We got the toddy shop beef fry, burrata makhani, and lamb pista korma. Everything was delicious. No GF dessert option on the day we went but our server was able to get the gelato and cookie crumble in a separate (so my partner could have the crumble). Kitchen isn’t completely GF. “Mild” seasoning level really wasn’t too hot (coming from someone who doesn’t eat hot/spiced food). They were able to give my partner extra spice on the side. Cocktails were also great.

Rivayat is easily one of the best new restaurants in Charleston! We started off our evening with a very smooth espresso chai martinis, some of the best we have had in the downtown area. From there, we tried both the Idukki Gold Chicken and Calicut Calamari, both of which blew us away with flavor and texture. For our main course we tried Chicken Travancore and Dhaba Lamb Curry that both had proteins cooked to perfection and flavors that left us scraping the bowls. As someone who is gluten and dairy free I appreciated the explicit menu descriptions. On top of all of this, the restaurant is beautiful and the service was great even with it being very busy! We cannot wait to be back!
