In the last two weeks we have had amazing experiences with Roka. 1. Roka Mayfair: it was my son’s 21st birthday, so we arranged for him and a group of friends to have dinner at Roka Mayfair. The organiser, C (not sure about publishing names) was undaunted…with requests for gluten free and cod instead of beef all at the last minute, she handled the dinner with aplomb and the group came home raving about it (and are still doing so)! 2. Roka Canary Wharf: my friend arranged her birthday dinner for 20th January. Nine of us rocked up for dinner at 7:30 pm to discover that she’d mistakenly booked it for 20 Feb. Again, Roka came up trumps. We had a drink at the bar while the staff worked their magic and found us a table. We were seated before 8pm and the food was amazing! Utterly delicious from the edamame to the sashimi to the dessert, including a mochi with a candle in it for my friend. I cannot speak highly enough about the service and food at Roka, both in Mayfair and Canary Wharf. Time to head to Roka Aldwych, to confirm the theory that it’s awesome at any location!

Incredible food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Located right in the centre of Canary Wharf Very helpful and understanding of my allergies, and knowledgeable about the menu items. Gluten free dishes were marked on the menu and there was only 2 dishes containing dairy. I especially enjoyed the warm Sake, the miso soup with shiitake and the Sea Bream. Flavourful, light but filling dishes unlike anything I EVER had before. When I saw the ££££ I thought this place would be way out of my budget, but we managed to have a date here with 2 starters, 2 mains and a carafe of sake for just over £60, and it was absolutely worth it. I have dined out at restaurants for a similar price in the past, and didn't feel I got half as much for my money. We bought the cheapest versions of each course but that by no means diminished the value of the food. I would go back for that sea bream anyday. I never knew fish could taste so good!
