We were seated downstairs in the swanky area that seemed more suited to a date night than I catch up with old friends. It was a bit dark for me and the seating is very low which isn’t good for old knees. The food was good when it came out and there were good gluten free options however the service let it down. The waiter was a bit condescending, when questioning missing dishes which we had previously asked about before , he advised us there was no such order. After a few mins discussion he made a big deal of telling us it had now been ordered implying it hadn’t been, and a few mins later the missing dishes all of a sudden turned up. This is the reason I marked it down because who likes to be told your a liar etc

Full Video Review: @davidtriesitall on all socials. We had the set menu for £20 that will last only until the 22nd of February 2024. Starters include prawn tempura with spicy yuzu dressing, white miso soup with spring onion, iceberg lettuce with caramelised onion dressing. For your mains, you can choose one from the following: Salmon fillet teriyaki with sansho salt Cedar roasted baby chicken with chilli and lemon Sea bream fillet, ryotei miso and red onion Baby back pork ribs with sancho and cashew nuts. All mains comes with steamed rice. The food and service honestly lives up to the hype and the vibes was just stunning. The portions were also unexpectedly massive and tasty. I expected only a small portion given the price of the set menu in a luxurious restaurant. Honestly so much value for money as most ala carte mains here start from £20. Definitely visit if you can! Note that this offer is only available in the Charlotte Street Branch. Location: 37 Charlotte St., London W1T 1RR Nearest Tube Station: Goodge Street Price - ££ Walk ins available but better to reserve Requirements - vegetarian, gluten free menu available, not halal #davidtriesitall #londonjapanesefood #londoneats #londondeals #londonfinedining #japanesefood
