My hometown is about a hundred miles from New Orleans. So I’m always on the lookout for good Cajun and Creole cuisine. Never figured I would find it a scant 20 miles from the Pacific ocean.
My shrimp and grits were spectacular, not to mention gluten free. My dining partner ordered the beignets for dessert, which I couldn’t eat, so they brought me a chocolate-dipped peanut butter cookie with a candle in it and sang to me for my birthday.
We also shared a delicious arugula and blue cheese salad, accented with praline pecans and fresh pear.
The service was excellent, and parking on the street was easy. Will definitely return to this authentic Cajun/Creole spot.
