Radisson Blu Hotel, Larnaca

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Everything from the staff, food, rooms and facilities were EXCEPTIONAL. A special compliment needs to be paid to the Executive Chef- Petros Mavros, who went above and beyond to ensure my food requirements were catered for. (I am a coeliac) All his kitchen staff and servers were made aware of my dietary requirements and all ensured these were met and strictly adhered to, and I was treated to an abundance of delicious food. The hotel catered for all our conference needs, and exceeded our expectations with their willingness to accommodate requests and ensure everything ran smoothly. The Tech guys even waited until 11pm the night before our event to do a 'dry run' and ensure all was in working order. If I were to name everyone who exceeded our expectations, this review would be too long :-) A big thank you to everyone at the Radisson Blu Larnaca.

Generally the hotel is nice and clean and pretty quiet however it didn’t feel like a five star experience. Even though the pool was very clean and the sun-beds were very comfortable, in the pool area there was only one member of staff, preparing and serving the drinks which led to delays. Also coffee and other drinks need significant improvement (eg blueberry banana smoothie was yikes). The room was nice and very spacious; I really enjoyed the fact that there were additional speakers in the shower connected with the TV. I hated the fact that our shower drainage was blocked and the water pressure was very poor (major drawback for us). The breakfast was pretty good; they have a big variety of options, including healthy and gluten free. The staff were very friendly, polite and keen to assist. The location is not ideal, especially if you don’t own a car. We knew that in advance since we are locals however the area in general feels deserted.
