Ragazzone

A surprise package in Ballarat, far exceeding my expectations, when we celebrated a friend's birthday at Ragazzone last night, sharing the chef's special selection. What a treat, especially for me as my gluten free dietary requirements were expertly catered for.

Great modern Italian served up by a slick, friendly crew. I took a small group out to celebrate my birthday and all said it was some of the best food they had had in ages. Great textures, flavours and presentation. We had the chiefs suggestion deal and not only was it great value, it took all of us just a little outside our same old/same old comfort zone. One of us was gluten free. This was not the slightest of problems for the team and my dear friends tells me that her special meals were totally delicious (do let them know of any dietary issues when booking). The one issue I think worth raising was the gap under the front door. Ballarat is freezing tonight and the north wind is howling (Pray for those without decent shelter tonight, please). The cold wind roared through this gap and everyone suffered hence my 4star rating for atmosphere. I think both staff and patrons would be a lot happier if this was fixed ASAP!
