We love ramen in our family and Ramen Azuma is inarguably one of our top two favorites! The establishment has style. They have great outdoor sitting. The staff is very young and always warm and friendly! A lovely young man wished me Happy International Women’s Day when I dined there on the occasion. The food is always great when dining in. I’ve done multiple take out orders and sometimes the bao buns have had almost no sauce but I’ve called the restaurant, since we can never resist and we eat them on our way home, and they’ve had our sauce ready to grab. They got my vegan ramen wrong once out of about 10 take out orders. I’m vegan and deeply appreciate that they have not only one but three ramen selections! I’ve never eaten at a ramen restaurant that has more than one! And they have gluten-free noodles!!!! The broth is so flavorful and the vegetable selection is both diverse and generous! The tofu is one of the best preparations I’ve tasted in a ramen. There are 3 or 4 vegan options for appetizers and the vegan tofu bao bun never fails! There is no alcohol served. My daughter who is not vegan has enjoyed some of the desserts. There have been small hiccups and the staff has risen to the occasion every time. I’d say that dining in is much more likely to offer a great experience and that take out can be hit or miss especially if they’re busy. Definitely recommend Ramen Azuma for its friendly staff and delicious, extensive ramen offerings.

I've been going here since they opened. They put up lights recently and made it easier to see it. It's located in a really unassuming place: between a bunch of car dealerships and apartment buildings. Not a place you'd expect a restaurant to be. Let's start with atmosphere. They've added a lot of decoration since they opened, making it look brighter and seem to have moved from a straight industrial look to one with greenery. Lights dim at sundown which gives great mood lighting. Outdoor dining also has a similar vibe and their music choice is always on point. Service has improved recently. Some are inattentive, but everyone is overall really nice and friendly. The shop owner? gives lots of direction to staff when it's busy and makes sure that service is quick and efficient. The food has also seen many improvements. The new shop owner also seems to be a proper chef and makes sure the quality of food is good before it's sent out. When he's in the kitchen, he makes sure the food is properly cooked and presentable before it's sent out. Really recommend coming when he's in the kitchen. Any new menu item is guaranteed delicious. Flavor is consistent and good. The tonkotsu is rich and hearty, compared to a lot of ramen places in NJ. A lot of places have light, runny tonkotsu and it's not satisfying but Ramen Azuma really hits the spot. For those with dietary restrictions, they have many options to accommodate. Vegan ramens, gluten free noodles, and many different substitutions for pork. I recommend the black garlic ramen, karaage, and Taro bubble tea. Lunch special if you make it in time before 4pm. Parking on the street or nearby parking are free after 6pm and Sundays.
