Ramen Hakata Lewisville

Came here because we saw that they had gluten free noodles for an added fee. Turns out their eggs and meat are not gluten free, and only one broth out of around 25 are gluten free. Also there's a bit of an odd smell when you enter. The food is otherwise quite good but it's pretty frustrating to go somewhere because they appear to have a gluten free option only to find out that you can make one specific item gluten free if you remove all of the toppings and pay an extra fee, but that is your only option. To be honest they probably deserve 3.5/4 stars from anyone who doesn't have food restrictions (though I do wish they'd deodorize the place). Their broths are pretty nice and the service is really good. I am probably a little biased by frustration of having to watch someone close to me not having any food options.

Damn this place is fantastic! I had no idea. We just spent two weeks in Japan and coming to this place made us feel like we were back in Tokyo! The menu is extensive and they got all the hits — Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki, Yakisoba — it was like being back in Japan! Yet at the same time, I got a chicken carbonara ramen that was very unique and tasty. We also got gluten-free noodles in a garlic ramen, chicken karaage, and Japan fries. It was all so great!
