Raphaël Peruvian Cuisine

Food --- Since it was our first time at Raphael's, the server recommended sharing the dishes we ordered. If you're into sharing your food, I would echo that suggestion. We shared a small plate (the duck), the cheviche (make sure you get a bit of sweet potato with every bite), and the pork. The food was amazing. Every last bite. You could tell that each dish was thoughtfully designed and expertly executed. My partner is allergic to both gluten and dairy, but there was only three dishes that either weren't already free of those elements, or that couldn't easily be made into safe version. Desserts weren't an option for him, but he looked on as I swooned over the Beso de Moza. I should mention that we unexpectedly received an amuse bouche and petit fours. Atmosphere and hospitality --- We went on a Sunday evening and were sat on the bar side. There were enough patrons to make the place seem alive, and the music provided complimentary ambiance while allowing for conversation at a normal speaking volume. The staff were appropriately attentive, and each one that stopped by our table seemed to genuinely care about our experience and enjoyment. Additionally, when one of the servers realized my partner couldn't have the petit fours, he gave him a complimentary sipper of quality tequila as a substitute. I was very happy to eat a double portion of the petit fours. We already have plans to return.
