Rasa: Flavours of India

We had gone to a different place but it wasn’t opened but then we spotted this place was opened so we went here instead - so glad we did. It smelt great from the outside and it was very cosy inside. We were welcomed by someone friendly and sat at a nice table in the window. The menu had a lot of variety and choice. Including vegetarian, gluten free, and low spice options. The person serving us was very attentive and kind. We were not too sure what something was so she got a little dish of spice from the kitchen for us. I ordered a dish I had never had before and it was so tasty and delicious! We were all asked for the spice level that we wanted and our dishes really felt like they were made for us. There was also complimentary popadoms with sauce. We enjoyed the experience and will be back! Great service.

If you want Indian food in Halifax, this is the place to try. The menu is extensive and we had no problem selecting five dishes plus sides. We asked for medium hot on the spicy dishes but they arrived too mild for me, and I'm from Halifax. Portions seemed a tad small but they all tasted so good - no doggy bags for us. Hello fellow celiacs - most of the menu items are GF - what a treat. Other reviews rave about the service but not so much for us. Must have caught them on an off night.
