Ravello

Absolutely incredible night last night (yet again) at Ravello - B-O-A! Booked it for my partner’s birthday and added a little note in the booking, but didn’t expect anything from it (as most restaurants don’t even look). We arrived to a birthday card on the table and a happy birthday message on his dessert! Service was impeccable and the food was AMAZING! I am gluten free and the options were incredible, would highly recommend to anyone (gluten free or not!). Looks like we’re going to have to book again for my birthday :)

Went to Ravello for dinner. Considering we booked two weeks ago, we were put into the cave, which was musty, cold, and claustrophobic - almost like a tunnel. We weren't the only ones unhappy to be in there. We were told we couldn't move, even though there were tables in the bar that had been free throughout the duration of our time there. Wanted to share the prawn starter, but were told we weren't allowed to have gluten free bread and standard bread (we weren't even given the option of paying extra for more bread). Thankfully the waiter who served us our starter saw that we would benefit from another slice of bread and fetched us some. Mains were lovely and they had an excellent range of gluten and dairy free options (which is still unfortunately quite rare), and the panna cotta was one of the best I've had. If only our treatment by one member of staff hadn't left such a bad taste in our mouths right at the start.
