I have eaten empanadas before, but this was the first time I ate a gluten free version. I believe the casing is made out of masa (corn) flour. I was happy to find that they have vegan options: Veggie and Beyond meat. Appreciate that the business owner thought of making vegan options available, and has advertised it clearly on their website and at the store. I called ahead of time, for a pick up of 18 Empanadas and happened to speak with the owner, Richard. The order was ready on time, which was excellent. The empanadas were flavourful and so was the Salsa sauce. It complimented the empanada so well. The service was great!
