This is the first time I've ever eaten out for Christmas Dinner and I was worried it wouldn't live up to expectations. I am delighted to say I was completely wrong! We arrived a little early and were invited to have a drink in the bar until our table was ready, the bar area looks fantastic since the refurb. Once we were seated in the function room, everything was table service and the staff were very attentive, clearing rubbish from crackers and empty glasses whilst not interrupting our meal. The food, they catered wonderfully for my coeliac Mother in Law, even providing gluten free Yorkshire pudding and gravy which was really appreciated. The turkey was cooked to perfection and the real star of the show. I had a trio of puddings for dessert which was delicious and so festive. We stayed for coffee after and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and we didn't feel rushed at all. The staff were amazing, Laura kept an eye on our table and I thought the personalised Christmas card with our menu choices on was a fantastic idea. Can't wait to bring my parents and inlaws back again and it will certainly be soon.
