Red Lion Tavern Pulborough

I had booked and indicated on the online form that my guest was gluten intolerant. On arrival we found no indication whatsoever on the menu regarding gluten free food and on enquiring at the bar he was handed a small smart pad that was difficult to read - indicated no starters and only one main course was gluten free. Considering this is a very common allergy we were shocked at the discrimination shown by the Red Lion. I cannot comment on the food as we left and will not return.

Made very welcome by Nicky and her team. Six of us sat at a round table. We had different meals but everything was cooked to perfection with good portion sizes. This also applied to our desserts which were really good. Service was extremely friendly and excellent with nothing proving too much trouble even to the point of trying to fix a slight wobble of the table. One of our party had a gluten free requirement and was provided with an Ipad from which to select her special requirements. Cannot recommend this venue highly enough.
