I rarely give three stars, but this one was for lack of concern or someone could die moment. What am I talking about ? I am gluten intolerant and do have reactions to cross contamination or gluten in my food. I may not need an epi pen, but one will be needed here. I asked for recommendations on gluten-free items on the menu like I always do at any restaurant, which is Red Robin or not. The words that came out of my servers mouth not only shocked me but cause for concern. She told me she has no clue what is gluten-free and was told by management that they are not responsible to know the customer can look it up.
1. I have been to this so-called list, and it is not complete with all sauces, etc. So yes, I am going to ask my server if it is safe to eat or find out. It's just someone's life here, no big deal. We are more than one life if we are wrong, right? 😂🙄
I have traveled all over the country for the last 6 years, trying to find gluten-free restaurants to eat at for myself and anyone looking like myself.
The management needs to have a rude awakening if this is actually true what this server who was over the bar area said.
Not knowing your companies food and ingredients is a big part, not for yourself but company wide. You are a lawsuit waiting to happen and one's life.
This is the first Red Robin in 6 states that told me this.
Did I eat after this? Yes, but I was leary after this conversation.
Would I recommend this restaurant? Maybe but if you don't know what is in all your food your at risk.
Will I return to this business ? Not sure.
