I’m in the past eaten at red Robin due to my gluten sensitivity and also working with a lot of people with allergies and sensitivities. on today’s visit. I have some serious concerns and red flags about food handling and food safety for the public at this location. I ordered a gluten-free bun burger with gluten-free fries, and my partner ordered a regular meal. My burger came in while I was eating it. I double checked with them because the bun tasted like a regular bun and it turned out that they had given the gluten free bun on-a different burger to my partner and had served me the regular bread. In response to this, they took my meal apologize and served me a gluten-free meal after that but this was after I had already consumed several bites of the burger. I am extremely gluten sensitive and I will be having a reaction that’s severe for weeks. My concern is that when a person states sensitivity, the server should definitely be the one that input the information properly communicates with the kitchen and also want to bring out the food. A different person brought out the food and didn’t confirm that my meal was gluten free and there are also no flags or indication on the plate which meal was, a food allergy meal. I think from an organizational standpoint and from medical standpoint this represents a huge food safety issue for people with medical issues with food allergies and I just want everyone to be aware and if you are gonna come to place like this to make sure you double check that your food is in fact is gluten-free and you cannot assume here. I’m very disappointed and worried for myself and others 🙁
