When I get the correct food, I absolutely love it. I have celiac disease and with that comes avoidance of any food and drinks that contain gluten. With how often I visit, I would hope that after explaining the urgency of no gluten in the food I order that the chefs understand and cook the food accordingly. Red Robin boasts their ability in a being able to accommodate this. The most recent time I was here (06-03-24), they were out of gluten free buns which is ok but when my order came out there was sauce on it (has gluten within it) I had to send it back and ask for a remake. If I had not caught that then I would have been in serious pain. They came back out with it and the burger itself was raw…at that point, I gave up and said I would just eat the rest of my appetizer. I couldn’t trust the chefs’ abilities to understand my dietary restrictions after explaining what I could not have. This is not the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd time I have had food made with gluten when specifically saying I could not have certain items. I even used their allergy menu to order the food so there really shouldn’t have been these many errors. I am very disappointed in this particular location.
I am hoping this review gets the general manager’s attention because I really want to feel safe eating their food. It really is delicious when done correctly. Trust me…I wish I could eat their food that has gluten because I hear all the time from my family how good it is.
Please note: the servers have always been amazing and cordial with my needs. I understand that it is not them who keep continuing to mess up my food. I could be wrong but they always seem to understand why I cannot have certain foods. They assure me every time I order that they themselves would speak with the chefs to make sure the food has to be made a certain way due to my dietary restrictions.
