Red Robin has been our family's favorite for many years, but unfortunately it's time to move on. It's basically over $20 a burger now-- I took 3 12yo's there and our bill for the 4 of us, with NO drinks (we all got waters) was $81.86 after the recommended 20% tip.
The most upsetting thing for me was to discover that Red Robin is now making a profit off of my celiac disease -- $2.99 EXTRA for one gluten-free bun! Are you kidding me? We're not idiots, we know one bun does not cost RR $3 extra. Then $1.99 extra for sweet potato fries now, so for one "simple burger" on the menu I'm spending $18.30. That's the price of a salmon or steak meal at Olive Garden or Longhorn, literally.
We've been going to RR 1-2x a week for many years (I remember having my daughter in there on the way back from her 5-day-old doc appointment--she's now in 7th grade), and more often during the pandemic when so much was closed for awhile.
It's been nice while it lasted but this place is just not reasonable for single income parents, that's for sure!
