We were a sporadic 11 top which was accommodated pretty well for it being so short notice (We requested to be sat outside because of my newborn even though it's technically not outside).
We were split us within two tables which was okay since the tables were close together so we all were very appreciative of this notion.
Our server, Sisco, already started off with a pretty strong demeanor. I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt since we are all humans and can make minor mistakes here and there. My table with my husband, mother and sister in law were decently taken care of but the other table with my husband's cousin and brother were definitely not. Alcoholic drinks were missing 30 mins at a time and needed to be reminded of multiple times, Drinks missing the alcohol entirely (not servers fault, I blame the bartender on that part), a pizza pie accidentally falling and having no initiative to help, and overall no initiative to cater to our requests when that's the number one duty of being a server. We also had a drink we were not too fond of and unfortunately had to send back. In the process we ended up getting another drink but according to him "alcohol cannot be comped even when we didn't like/drink" which is something I have never heard of. I work in the industry and if someone doesn't like a drink/food we make sure to make the guest happy, but also communicate with them as well. If this was communicated where alcoholic beverages are non refundable of course someone would've drank it especially if we had to pay for it (the drink was taken away from the table by Sisco). I wasn't demanding to get it comped but more of the fact that it this rule was not communicated on his end.
As far as the food quality, pretty good! I got the carbonara with chicken and it seemed to have a twist. It wasn't your classic carbonara. I personally loved my dish and as well my husband who got the rigatoni. My mother in law got a gluten free mushroom pizza and she was happy! The food was delicious overall. For appetizer I got the octopus and that was my favorite dish from the night.
We are a low maintenance kind of family. We were all there to have a good time since cousins had not seen each other in a while especially all together in one place. It's a shame that during their quality time together they were given such horrible service, and I felt bad since I'm a local and reserved this timeframe for them. I'm a little embarrassed to be honest.
All in all I wouldn't recommend this place even knowing food was decent. A restaurant experience really does stem from good service. It was very hard to understand Sisco's motive with our time there. I'm assuming since we are a gratuity included sized table that he didn't have to work for his tip but if he continues with that ideology it might push guests away. Word of mouth is pretty strong.
