This was the scariest food experience as a celiac. We ordered gluten free pierogi ruskie to go and received them 25 minutes later. The staff was super lovely and kind, welcoming and polite. When I tried the pierogi I was convinced they must have gluten in them as they were so good! I didnt think it was possible to make a typically gluten containing meal so good as a gluten free version. As a celiac its so hard to find a safe restaurant to eat in and this is definitely one of them. Id definitely be back and the only thing I can suggest/ask for would be to add gluten free/allergen stickers or flags as additional reassurance for those of us with dietary restrictions.

After a dozen or so visits to Krakow, in search of good (gluten-free) flavors, after many disappointments, half-satisfaction and compromises, I end up here by accident. The place is a bit inconspicuous, does not shout to us from afar, slightly covered by green plants guaranteeing privacy to customers sitting at tables by the window, hides such restrained chic and quality that it seems impossible for it to really exist today. The waiters are classy, elegant, gallant (but not over the top, which is a plus), kindness and smile are natural here and not the slightest bit forced. (Greetings to waiter Norbert). I ate way too much, but who could resist when the menu offers 90% of items in gluten-free versions? Something that I did not dare to visualize in my wildest dreams. That everything tasted “like normal”, I do not even have to explain, because someone who is not restricted by diet will not understand, and gluten-free people will have to try it themselves to believe it. And if that wasn't enough, for dessert, in addition to the delicious cake, it turned out that above the table there was an original Dwurnik, not a forgery, and on the walls throughout the restaurant you can admire a whole host of works of art, which only emphasizes the style of this extraordinary place in the heart of Krakow. Congratulations to the owners, the staff and above all the chef! Of course I recommend it!

Dining at Pod Baranem is a truly memorable experience. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm, attentive service that sets the tone for the entire visit. The restaurant's charming, old-school Polish atmosphere adds a unique and authentic touch that perfectly complements the cuisine. The food is nothing short of exceptional—worthy of Michelin-level praise. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, with rich, traditional flavors that celebrate Polish culinary heritage. A standout feature is the wide selection of gluten-free options, making it an inclusive choice for those with dietary needs. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a refined yet comforting dining experience in Kraków.
