One of the best meals I've ever had. The fish courses would fit in at Le Bernardin, without the need for a grand room.
Unpretentious and exceptional.
Four of us shared virtually every dish on the menu. It was presented in order as if an 8-course meal--but that is certainly not required; it's how it turned out.
However, as we did it, it was sublime.
My wife is celiac and they either had no wheat in every dish, or they prepared the dish slightly modified.
The cheesecake, which is gluten free, was a marvelous ending. But all the desserts were great.
Relaxed service as well.
Four stars for atmosphere, because it's a taverna setting. But it's exactly what it should be. So five stars for leaning into the local establishment feeling.
