We dined with our 6 month old in our lap and the restaurant was graciously accommodating of our party. My wife is a celiac and they carefully explained all the menu items and modifications possible. Exceptional restaurant, delicious food and a new favourite!

Beba was the single best meal on our yearly Montreal trip. Service was perfect. Atmosphere was intimate and fun. Wine suggestions were on point. The non-alcoholic coktail had the complexity of a real cocktail. Most importantly, the food was perfect and just incredible. They perfectly accomodated my gluten free (celiac) patner. The flavors are familiar but done in a novel way. Portions are generous for a restaurant in this price tier. The single best thing that I ate on the entire trip was the montadito - basically a reimagined version of bagel and lox. It's probably the best bite of food I've had this year. I've been thinking of it ever since. I'd return just for that. I would caution that the gluten free version (sans bagel) with cucumber is not really a good substitute. Even some gluten free toast would have made it really good if not the exact same as the real deal. I kinda wish that places would have some gluten free bread frozen but on hand for these kinds of substitutes. Sometimes, you just need bread/toast for texture; even if it's the inferior gluten free kind. Boulangerie Le Marquis is doing some pretty awesome stuff so maybe that could be a good partnership. Anywho, Beba is added to my list of places I have to hit when in Montreal. Bravo. Only bad part was a SUPER loud dude behind us who didn't shut up for 2 hours but what can you do...
