Restaurant Furana Porto Vecchio

Great place to be! Tasty food, friendly staff! We started with grilled octopus with parsley and vegetables, and baked cannelloni aubergine with local cheese and tomatoes. Both starters were incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. For our main course, we enjoyed the daily catch of fresh fish and a recommended meat dish. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were evident in every bite, making these dishes stand out. The highlight of our meal was the dessert. We indulged in a pavlova cake and a special chocolate cake, both gluten-free and absolutely delectable. While the pavlova was a bit dry and difficult to cut, the special chocolate cake was rich and satisfying. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area!

The owner only speaks French and a few words of Italian, so it was difficult to communicate with her. There are few gluten-free dishes on the menu, and being in French and without the list of allergens, it was difficult to understand which ones were gluten free. I took a platter of cured meats and cheeses (which I wouldn't take again) and St. Peter's fish breaded in chopped hazelnuts. The latter was good although quite expensive. The view of the harbor is stunning.
