Restaurant Hirschen

Excellent food and great service – a thoroughly enjoyable visit! We had a wonderful visit to the Hirschen restaurant in Lenzburg. The food was outstanding – delicious and beautifully presented. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive service, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We sat in the cozy outdoor area, which was pleasantly shaded – perfect for a warm day. A big plus for me personally was the gluten-free options, as I have a wheat intolerance. It's rare to find such good alternatives, and I felt completely at home. A place I can definitely recommend – we'd love to come back!

Gluten-free pizza really very good

We went to this restaurant specifically because of the gluten-free food. Our daughter, who has celiac disease, ordered veal with potatoes and vegetables. When the food came, herb butter was still served on the plate. To be on the safe side, we asked again whether the herb butter was also gluten-free. The waiter said he didn't know, she just shouldn't eat it. We asked him several times to check the ingredient list of the herb butter, he didn't want to do this and said it definitely had gluten in it and she shouldn't eat it. Then he came and put his hand in our daughter's plate and took the butter away and said, the gluten is gone... Since the butter had already melted a little and touched the meat and vegetables, of course she couldn't eat it because we didn't know whether it was gluten-free. My husband then took the plate and went after the waiter and tried to explain it to him, but he just rudely took the plate and said they would make it again. When the food was brought back, the waiter showed us the list of ingredients and the herb butter was gluten free. When we thanked him and said that we only needed that answer, he just said, Yes, now you have the answer. So behavior like that from a waiter is really bottom drawer. We actually wanted to have dessert and coffee, but this waiter made us want to leave as quickly as possible. We will not visit this restaurant a second time and definitely do not recommend it to those with celiac disease.
