A warm welcome, the staff are all smiles. The best tartare I've had in the last year. Venison tartare, flavorful, well-seasoned with great texture, absolutely delicious, a real winner. I highly recommend it! A very pleasant ambiance and atmosphere in the heart of our beautiful Quebec City! You can see the kitchen from the dining room, witnessing the pleasure and positive attention they give to their customers. Plus, they have gluten-free options! Wow! Efficient and respectful service! We'll definitely be back.

Arrived around mid day right after noon so the breakfast crowd was finishing and lunch people started to arrive . La Buche is a warm setting that feels like being in a cabin with a rustic wood feeling . Welcoming for sure . We did not have reservations so we had to wait a short ten minutes which was not that bad . I would recommend making reservations ahead of time as it gets very busy . Service was good a bit slow but they were completely full and the waiters did a good job to keep up . The menu offers brunch and lunch options with designated time slots which is nice . We got the Patron Sandwich which has a similar BLT sandwich taste . The bread is thick and perfect for this sandwich . Bacon is crispy and very flavorful. Homemade mayonnaise is a win with its creamy texture . Side potatoes are crunchy and perfectly salted . A good sandwich lunch . Menu offers gluten free bread which is a plus . Make sure reservations are made in advance and you are prepared for some moderate noise level . Overall a good lunch and happy we stopped in .
