Last week I went to this restaurant for dinner. I am celiac and before going there I called to find out about the gluten-free options they offered. The fact is that I was told that all the dishes on the menu (there were about 30 of them) were suitable for gluten-free, except for 5.
We arrived at the restaurant, I mentioned, once again, the topic of gluten and he told me that he already remembered that he was celiac. They tell me which dishes I can eat, they offer me gluten-free bread, etc. So far so good.
They bring the second plate, accompanied by toasts and put them next to me. Since experience is a degree, I already ask if those toasts are gluten-free, indeed NO. Right after this "little incident" they bring the third dish, a soup with shavings of what looked like battered squid. Let's remember that they told me that everything I had ordered was suitable for gluten-free and that the toast incident had happened to the previous dish and they had to be removed. what happened Well, you can imagine it. It was with gluten. Halfway through the plate, when we had already eaten it, the waitress came to tell us that she had to change it for us as it could contain traces of gluten. He brings us another dish without the battered squid on top. Traces the waitress told me, no traces, that was pure and hard gluten. You can imagine the rest and what it means to get contaminated.
Very little professionalism on the part of this restaurant, and even more so if they say they know about the subject. Very little attention from their waiters on such serious issues as allergens.
