Restaurant Ratskeller

We were there for goose dinner with the whole family. I have never eaten a better goose (Dithmarscher Gans). The side dishes are also extremely tasty. And, very important to us, everything was gluten-free!! The service was very warm and quick, there were no long waiting times. The atmosphere there is wonderful anyway. Only the price is “proud”, but also justified. So a clear recommendation from us.

We were there before Christmas for a goose dinner. The starter was very, very tasty. I have rarely eaten such a good salad. The soup was good too. Goose: we ordered the Polish one and got the German one. However, when it came to the bill, we were accommodated and charged for the Polish one, as we didn't even know at first that it was the German goose. The skin was crispy, but the meat overall was too dry. That is the biggest drawback. The boss's wine recommendation was great and the price was very, very good. Dumplings: very very good, fluffy. Red cabbage: delicious with an additional hint of spice, the chestnuts and apples were good, but too sweet for most people. However, that is personal taste. I had potatoes instead of dumplings because I can't eat gluten. That was thoughtful, but I know from other restaurants that they serve gluten-free dumplings. When I called to point out the need for gluten-free dishes again, I was approached by a man in a very, very unfriendly manner. That really annoyed me and it doesn't work at all. The service on site was again very friendly and quick.
