A group of people went to eat. A priori everything was going well but there were several details that made this an unpleasant experience and one that I would not repeat.
In order:
- The first dish was gluten-free (we were warned) and had a tempura on top (which did not appear in the description of the dish), once at the table they warned us that we cannot eat it.
- A sea bass in salt (1 of 4 servings served) with grains of salt which prevented its tasting.
- When it comes to offering gluten-free desserts, they offer a lot of ice cream flavors (out loud, that is, recited by the waiter and not seen on the menu) and when we chose 3 flavors, it turns out that there were none.
- Finally, they remove our wine glasses without prior notice when there is half a bottle of wine left and they justify it by saying that they are out of hours, leaving a table of 30 people and without being warned in advance of said time.
As a positive point, they tried to compensate by inviting us to one of the bottles of wine, which we appreciated.
That said, I have no problem paying for a complete service and I don't expect to be invited to wine, I was expecting something a little more select in a place with these characteristics.
Response to your answer:
In short, we were not properly informed. Perhaps they should inform about that schedule at the time of booking so that clients know what to expect.
Regarding the invitation of the wine due to the failure of the sea bass, I do not understand why that clarification is necessary, but they are correct and that was the cause, that is, for serving dishes with gluten to a table of celiacs there was (and still is) neither compensation nor apology, a fact that I consider much more serious as well as dangerous.
