THEY DON'T ADAPT GLUTEN-FREE MENU.
We went to celebrate an event. There were more than 30 of us. It had been booked a long time, and they had warned us that there were two people with celiac disease. Supposedly, they were going to adapt everything, and we didn't have to worry: the adaptation was that we wouldn't eat anything containing gluten. You pay for a 50-euro menu and you can't eat three of the five dishes... I think at this point it's embarrassing. The waiter (only one for more than 30 people) was overwhelmed, and we were already embarrassed to ask him if he was going to bring us the gluten-free menu. It would have been very easy to have adapted the three dishes we couldn't eat, and not have us asking, please, as if we hadn't paid for our menu anyway. If they couldn't do it, they should have let us know, and we wouldn't have gone. After a lot of fuss, the poor guy brings us a smoked salad, saying, "I was able to get this for you, I'll see if I can get you a plate of ham." As if they were doing us a favor!!!!!!! Outrageous.
In the end, we had a good time because we adapted to everything and because the event deserved it, but things like this just aren't right after being given so much advance notice.
