Restaurante Matiz

The food was delicious, the waiters were attentive, and the service was wonderful. Unbeatable value for money. The restaurant is beautiful and quiet. We were with a friend who is gluten intolerant, and they were always accommodating.

We went to try the tasting menu, and while it wasn't bad, perhaps I had slightly higher expectations. I ordered the gluten-free version, and although they made a small adaptation, it wasn't overly elaborate. I noticed this especially in the starters; the main courses were practically the same as the original menu. The gluten-free bread was served fresh from the oven, but still in the plastic wrap and burning, which detracted from the professionalism. It would have been nice to present it in a bread basket. The service, however, was very attentive and polite throughout. There was also live jazz music, which made the evening much more enjoyable.
