Restaurante La Nueva Santuca

We went for lunch on a Sunday and it was phenomenal. The service was fantastic, the two people who served us were attentive and very pleasant. Almost the entire menu is gluten-free, which I greatly appreciate as a celiac. The gluten-free squid was delicious (they explained to me that they're made with chickpea flour, rice, and cornstarch, with oil added, of course). We ordered a half-board of delicious cheeses, entrecote, and the vegetable timbale, all very good. For dessert, they have several gluten-free options. I ordered the chocolate cake, which was delicious, accompanied by yogurt ice cream (only for chocolate lovers, though). My non-celiac companion ordered the puff pastry with dulce de leche and loved it. In short, highly recommended.

BEST food in cantabria!! The owners Sara (runs the front) and Ruben (the chef) are a delight ans the food is out of this world. From the cecina salad to the chuleton de vaca vieja, the turbot, the octopus it’s all amazing. The setting is stunning - gorgeous stone building surrounded by luscious green fields. Will return again and again! Lots of gluten free options too!

Believe it or not, celiacs can eat practically anything. Very happy with the service and the spectacular food. 100% recommended.
