We were promptly seated. The server took our drink order - 1 water, 1 sweet tea and returned with 2 waters, and before we could request the sweet tea again, he was gone. Just as we were getting up to leave after waiting 10 minutes, he returned to take our orders. The food was ready quickly and tasted great! The Fried Green Tomatoes were good, and as a bonus, they were gluten-free. The Housemade Black Bean Burger on a GF bun and fries was also good. The Fish of the Day Sandwich with mixed veggies was good, but the fish portion was quite small. When the food was delivered, we asked for water refills, but none were provided. We then had to wait 5 minutes until we could get someone's attention to return to the table to request tartar sauce, mustard, and mayo before eating our entrees. We then asked for water refills again, which we did receive. There were 4 people working the front of the house, but no one seemed to have clearly defined roles, and at least one staff member seemed more concerned with chatting with colleagues than meeting customers' needs. We saw several parties come in and wait for extended periods of time before someone helped them. All in all, the food was great, but the service has much to be desired.

I drove 2 hours to eat here because this restaurant serves gluten-free fried food. Being a person who has a gluten allergy, I loved coming to eat at the Rev, but it had gone downhill the last year and a half. When I got there, they said they were out of gluten-free flour and were using regular flour tonight. I drove 2 hours to a gluten-free restaurant, and they were out of gluten-free flour. I was agitated, and on top of that, the services were terrible. It wasn’t even that packed tonight, and the waitress would give us our drink then run then give us our food and run. We had to run her down to get a refill on our drinks. We had one refill for the whole 2 hours we were there. It's just unfortunate this place used to be my favorite restaurant, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back anytime soon.
