I ordered the bourbon of the month, Angel's Envy. Well, who am I kidding, I really like bourbon, so it's all good.
I got the salmon BLT on a gluten free bun. It was delicious. The caper mayo was perfection. The pickle was great.
The chips were disappointing. They were fresh and crisp, but... The oil was old, or whatever oil they use was thick and heavy. The oil was fresh in the fryer, it was just off. And it also should have been just a little hotter because the chips were saturated with oil and then no salt. Hard to add salt to cold chips.
Our server was wonderful.
The atmosphere: I love the bar area but have been trying to figure out what what I don't care for in the dining area. The wood walls are gorgeous. I think it is the lighting. The chandelies are great, but the corners are dark. It is hard to see with the harshness of lighting contrasts. I really like this place, just a few tweeks and it would be perfect.
