A block from the Austin Convention Center on San Jacinto. Bright, fresh atmosphere. I ordered two items for takeout from their "better food" offerings.
I tried the double tamal plate with tamales filled with roasted poblano peppers, calabacita, corn, epazote, and queso fresco. The plate comes with cilantro lime rice, not-fried black beans, avocado, and monterrey jack cheese. Their tamales are moist and flavorful. Good masa to filling ratio.
Also tried a burrito filled with vegan cheese, tofu chorizo, purple cabbage, cilantro lime rice and homemade vegan creamy pepper sauce. It comes with tortilla chips. Delicious!
