Ristorante Antico Beccaria

We randomly decided to stop here for dinner. Really glad we did so. It was the best meal we had in the holiday. The menu was classic with some nice more contemporary additions. The dishes were all extremely well prepared and presented. All done from scratch. The steak tartare was good, but the ossobuco was great and the steak with truffle was divine. The home made ice cream and sorbet was to die for. The tiramisu was home made and both dairy and gluten free. The service was attentive and professional. Decent choice of wine. The decor reminded me a bit of my grandparents house which they renovated in the 70s, I'd call it 70s baroque - but it worked and gave it a quiet vintage elegance. Comfortable seats. The only downside was that we ate outside and it was hot - not their fault. One restaurant I will keep in mind when I return to Brescia.

Well kept and truly elegant place. Cozy and characteristic environment. Cutlery, plates, glasses, napkins and everything relating to the service has beautiful decorations that recreate an atmosphere of times gone by. Even in winter the tables on the external veranda are comfortable and the environment is properly heated. The service is kind, warm and efficient, the staff is delicate, trained, helpful and attentive. The food is really tasty and varied. Many of the dishes offered are gluten-free, therefore also suitable for celiacs. Highly recommended.
