We were tempted by the reviews and the mention in the Michelin Guide to eat at Giglio. The first look at the menu sounded pretentious, and so were the prices. One point in our choice was the ample selection of gluten-free dishes, according to the internet. Unfortunately, that didn't come true. My wife has celiac disease and has to eat gluten-free. She was left with one starter that day, a tuna carpaccio. This came to the table clearly arranged, not very visually attractive, draped on a plate, drowned in a marinade with plenty of soy sauce. For 30 euros...😳 I had a tasty starter for about the same amount, which turned out to be three wheels of black pudding. A good black pudding, but the money? For the main course, my wife was served gluten-free pasta with ragout, there was no other choice. The cooking water from the pasta was nice in the plate...in truth it was not edible. My pasta with the same ragout was good at best. In total I paid 116 euros for the two starters and two primi, a glass of wine and water. I can't recommend the place!

Very nice and welcoming place, period. We entered, we ordered and the magic was broken. They have a somewhat particular menu that may not appeal to everyone. I asked for tagliatelle (present on the menu) with meat sauce (present on the menu but with tordelli) and I was told that I would have had the kitchen flooded, however in the end they were made for me. They arrived and to say they were al dente is an understatement. Another diner asked for spaghetti with snow peas and clams, but the rigatoni arrived without snow peas. A person with celiac disease asked for bread, it never arrived... we asked for baked potatoes and they told us they were finished... too bad that after 15 minutes we saw them arrive at the table next to us...
