My husband and I had dinner here last evening… we felt like we were back in Italy! We met the owner, Emanuela, a delightful Italian woman from Tuscany, so it’s easy to understand why the food was as authentic as it gets. She offers traditional as well as some creative options.
I highly recommend the carpaccio duet starter of thinly sliced/smoked swordfish & salmon. It was accompanied by a lemon infused butter, which would be wonderful with the crostini and fish, however I had to pass on that since I am gluten free.
For my entree, I had the gluten free penne Frutti di Mare- it had a delicate light (not tomato) sauce with a pleasant and subtle essence of the sea flavor. The Prosecco she serves is really very good and went well with this dish!
My husband had the Tagliatelle Imperatore with prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella-he loved it! There wasn’t a drop left on either of our plates— we didn’t have dessert, but did cap off the wonderful meal with delicious Limoncellos.
I am sure we will be back many times during our month long stay in the area!
